Help! Baby will only drink ready made formula

Im having supply issues, and it's been so incredibly stressful bc my baby was losing weight yet wouldn't drink formula! After a lot of experimentation, I found that my baby will only drink the little ready made formula bottles that come in 2 oz. He will absolutely not take powdered formula! The problem is the ready made are so dang expensive ... anyone else have this problem and that did you do???

Is it possible that he just prefers the nipples on the ready made bottles compared to the nipple on whichever bottle you tried feeding powder formula from?

My son was the same way I would premix the bottles and put them in the fridge then use a bottle warmer... I found that premix made the formula settle a little better and had less bubbles

what brand are you using? babies r us has a good deal going on similac I think right now and you can sign up for manufacturers coupons/checks (usually 10 dollars off) similac also has 8oz ready mixed and bigger bottles. I'm in the same boat kinda my son will drink powder but prefers the pre mixed

I bet it's the nipples if you're using different bottles

You should mix both together. Little by little add the powdered formula to the premade formula.

My daughter is the same way. She prefers ready made and that's all I give her. I followed directions exactly for powder and it didn't settle as well with her. It is expensive but it is easy and if she's happy I'm happy! I'm also getting the similac coupons in the mail which help!

Mine was only taking ready to feed, but I've just managed to get him to take the liquid concentrate. It's still pricey, but less than the ready to feed. I'm using Similac Advance since it was all he'd take. I'm hoping I won't have to supplement forever because formula is so expensive!
